Courtyard 280 Oyster Bar in Birmingham

IT'S WAS UH REAL GUD SPOT 2 CHILL...UH NICE LIL MIX CROWD...PEOPLE FRIENDLY...

Karaoke every Monday, Friday and Saturday keeps me coming back. Great bartenders, decently priced drinks, very good food, nice pool tables, diverse crowd, oh, and did I mention it's also one of the ONLY bars in Birmingham that stays open past 2 AM!?!

Fresh oysters daily. Tasty Bloody Mary to complement. Good service.

A staple for me on 280. Great oysters, decent selection of draft and friendly staff. 50 cent oysters from 12 to 4 - an excellent value!

This place was great. The cover was only $5.00. The food was really good. I had the catfish nuggets and my husband had the wings they were delicious. The waiters were very attentive. They noticed when we needed more drinks before we finished the one we had so we didn't have to wait long for a new one. They had karaoke that night and it was fun. We also played pool and at some places they have a problem with giving people quarters to play with. This place didn't they were great.

It seems to attract a coarse type of crowd. They even have multiple police officers stationed outside the establishment on Saturday night.

Great food nice place to hang with friends

I give it a 4 because service is always good, people are nice. Food could be better, do not eat much. Good to watch sports and relax for happy hour. They have live music a good bit, different varieties, which is fun. Crowd is mixed for age groups, which is a good thing.

Late night service industry bar, always a good time

Not the best bar, but they have the best chicken wings and draft blue moon so that's why I go. Really all their food is top notch bar food. Still a fun time with indoor/outdoor seating, music, and pool tables.

I really really like this place. It's kinda gritty but the live music was good the DJ was ok the oysters were good onion rings good. The beer selection could be better. Service was friendly but slow... but they were busy. Over all I will go back.

Still very friendly place to visit extremely busy on weekends but still worth the trip they serve food and drinks until they close at 5 and there's an outside patio for smoking with usually an awesome dj outside and live music going at the same time inside and our drinks were reasonably priced and made right I would definitely recommend for a good late night spot

Local hangout with lots of pool tables. Oyster Special on Sunday is great. I have been twice so far and got smaller oysters 1 time but nice big ones this last time. Wish the outside area was non-smoking because that is where the live music is. Lots of TVs. We will go again.

Always a good time. Great waitress. Free food before 7pm.

It was okay for my first time with my husband. He goes all the time with his brothers! 😊

I've been here twice now and this place has one of the best burgers I've ever had it has a fried egg on it bacon if you go here for nothing else please try the food, I've also had the wings that are really good as well. But other than that it's a pretty chill place to just hang out with some friends and maybe do some karaoke if you're up for it. Over all I say its worth giving it a visit if you are in town or just looking to have a chill layed back night

I have never been here personally but I am a manager at the Papa John's next door and it has come to my attention that they cannot control their patrons from parking in my parking lot. They won't answer the phones for me to ask them to tell their patrons to stay out of my parking lot . I actively watched one of their patrons urinate on a dumpster. Would not recommend.

Being from out of state, I'm pretty sure we were overcharged. They ran my card MULTIPLE times and when I asked the bartender about it she just responded, that's just how it is.??? I own a sports bar myself and can assure you, that's NOT just how it is! WON'T BE GOING BACK

One of the best kept secrets of 280. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. This is definitely a “locals” bar that makes everyone feel like a “local”.

Loved it, it's hard to find if you don't know what your looking for but it's a nice place...

Love the wings! And they have great entertainment! I really like that they stay open until 5am and you can go there any day of the week for a good time!

It was great besides this guy Adam. He kept trying to flirt with me even though I am straight. He was very persistent but I had friends to back me up. Also I am very drunk.

I enjoyed my visit to Courtyard Oyster Bar 280. I had boneless wings & onion rings, both were done well.

Best Philly cheese steak in town. No joke. The whole menu is exactly what you want at 3 am on a Monday night. 😅

Great place but will more than double your tab, a 20$ charge every drink....Waited 7 days till it expired with my bank. Other than that I love it, I just pay cash now.

I'm always find of hanging out at Courtyard when I'm in town. There's never a shortage of people, and although the music isn't my favorite, it changes regularly. I've even been there when sex trivia was going on....bonus.

I've been going to Courtyard for years. The food has always been great, and when they remodeled a few years ago, the place looked great. It unfortunately is looking like it did before. I know it's a bar, but I wish they would spruce it back up. Good place for pool (but I'd bring my own cue) and to hang out. Not a good place if you don't like cigarette smoke.

We had a good time here. Drinks are good, music is good, plenty pool tables. They had a live band inside and a DJ out back on the patio area. We will definitely be going back here. There was a $7 cover charge and this was the 5th place we went to and the only one that charged a cover, that's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars! Other than that it was fun and I'd pay it again.

Excellent food. Sometimes the service is a little poor, but that's only because it's primarily a bar. The food is "on point", and decently priced. Highly recommended.
